Welcome to Stoke City Etc, the unofficial Stoke City podcast

A quirky forty five minutes full of all things Stoke City! Each week we speak to legendary figures from Stokes history. We review the weekend’s action in the company of top named guests from the world of sports journalism and broadcasting who share with us their opinions on Stoke City. Each week we preview Stokes up coming games; take a look at the wider footballing world, read out your email, ask quiz questions and much much more!

With no match to review we take the opportunity to reflect on Stoke's season with two well known characters from Stoke on Trent. We look back onn the season to date, and ahead to the final months of the season, with John Acres of Radio Stoke and Martin Spinx from the Evening Sentinel. Lots to chew over, lots to consider, lots on which to speculate...

There's also a chance to win a couple of great books in this week's quiz together with a whole load of Radio Stoke "goodies"(?)

After a crushing last six minutes against Chelsea, join us to be picked up off the floor and have your optimism renewed. Simon Johnson from the London Evening Standard newspaper joins us to review the game and tell us why he'd be very positive if he was a Stokie.

We also chat to former Stoke striking sensation, the legendary, Mark Stein. We relive some great moments from the early 90s and hear his thoughts on Stoke's first ever Premier League campaign.

Celebrate a brilliant point at home to the table toppers on this week's stoke city etc podcast. It's a bit Irish given that we review the match with Fivelive's Connor Mcnamara and catch up with former Stoke midfielder James O'Conner.

There are all the usual features too including a quiz to determine which of the non Stokie presenters are most knowledgeable about the Potters' season so far.

Jeff Stelling - the world's most famous Hartlepool fan - joins us on the podcast this week. He's very gracious about their victory and has lots of kind words for Stoke.

We look back at that oh so disappointing afternoon with Chris Young from the Hartlepool Mail and there's an interview with Stokie Jeff Jackson (Strangled) - the winner of last week's quiz.

It may not make the cup pain go away but it will probably ease it very slightly.
